10 Community Notices FREE FOR NOT-FOR-PROFIT, SPORTING & COMMUNITY GROUPS email your notice to info@localnewsletters.com • Deadline 1 September for next issue Poetry in Paradise Gold Coast residents with an interest in poetry are warmly invited to join our group, Poetry in Paradise. Originally formed by Jeff Goode we have been running for close to three decades at various locations on the coast. For the past fifteen years or so we have found an idyllic location at the Southport Library in Lawson Street, Southport. We meet on the third Sunday of each month between 1:15 pm and 3:15 pm. Generally, we have enough time to read three poems each. We do not have a critique, but you can be assured that if you write a sad poem and we tear up, or a comic poem and laughter follows, then you are on the right track. We are looking for some new members who, like us, have a passion for verse and the joy it brings, not only in the writing of it but seeing the joy and appreciation on the faces of our group. We are a non-profit organisation and there is no cost to join. If you are interested in joining in, come to our next meeting at the Southport Library on the next third Sunday of the month. If you would like any further information contact Tom on 0402109612.
