About Your Local Newsletters

Who We Are

Established in 1989 as The Local Newsletters, with a single newsletter and 10,000 distribution, the company grew to average 10 monthly newsletters with more than 140,000 distribution. The majority of the newsletters are distributed to houses by council divisions from Beenleigh to Coolangatta.

Your Local Newsletters prides itself on devoting much space to assist the community and the publications are widely used as a voice for community groups, service clubs, progress associations and many charities including The Animal Welfare League, Cancer Council, Unicef, and Red Cross. The newsletters were a key player in setting up Neighbourhood Watch in many suburbs and three years in a row received the Gold Coast Community Policing award presented by the mayor.

Our Executive Team

Wendy Peck
Managing Director

Wendy served an apprenticeship as a compositor with Leader Newspapers. She started with the newsletters in 1991 when the distribution was a mere 20,000 and no doubt her expertise and dedication was instrumental in the newsletters success. Although Wendy is extremely busy managing the company she still personally looks after the requirements of hundreds of printing clients including restaurants, schools and bridge clubs. The fact that many of these clients are still with Your Local Newsletters over 25 years on speaks volumes for Wendy's dedication to her clients.

Geoff Stephen
Marketing Director

Geoff brought his extensive marketing experience to the company in 1993. He has helped hundreds of clients with their marketing strategies and is always able to advise on the most cost effective way to successfully market their business. His knowledge of the Gold Coast is second to none and has contributed greatly to the success of the company. Geoff still deals personally with many clients who respect his honest approach in getting results for their business.

"Rivermount is a co-educational and non denominational college that was established at Yatala in 1992. We have 820 local students and we use The Local Newsletter to reach out to new families coming to our area and also to inform parents of existing students. The Local Newsletter gives us an excellent 'local' profile. It is excellent value for money offering a great service and reaching a specific market in our catchment area."
