19 Music Review The 25th Anniversary Lord Mayor’s Seniors Christmas Party delivered one of its most memorable seasons yet, celebrating with 15 shows over six days and welcoming more than 14,000 attendees. Every performance was completely sold out, reaffirming the event’s reputation as a highlight of Brisbane’s annual Christmas celebrations. This year’s production wove together the warmth of Christmas nostalgia, the joy of community connection, and beautifully crafted performances, enchanting audiences throughout. Audiences were treated to a playlist of beloved classics, “Jingle Bells,” “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” “Frosty the Snowman,” and “Winter Wonderland.” Guests eagerly joined in, and soon the venue was filled with an uplifting chorus as the audience enjoyed a sing-along to the carols, embracing the spirit of the season. The ever-engaging MC Rachael Tiernan kept the energy bright, guiding each show with her charm and many outfit changes. Behind the scenes, the tireless work of Chris Fennessy of Epiphany Productions and Gregory Moore of Greg Moore Productions shone through in every polished moment. Supporting the entire production was a fantastic live band, whose musicianship elevated every number. The musicians included, Shannon Marshall, Josh Hatcher, Shane Hannan, Paul Hudson, Helen Russell, Kathy Sander, Jamie Clark, and Sharny Russell—delivered rich, vibrant arrangements that brought each carol to life.
