21 Caroline Borole was simply the best and better than all the rest we have ever seen performing as Tina Turner - the real queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll at the Star Gold Coast Theatre on the 30th December 2025. Not only were her amazing and loud singing and dancing performances, but her beautiful dresses and costumes which she could very quickly change as she walked around a side curtain in half a minute and stepped back on the stage with other fabulous dresses etc. The theatre was very full and packed with people who were also allowed to walk down towards the front of the stage to dance and get very close to her and I was able to take so many photos and videos which I still play and enjoy and show to all my friends. Of course, her final song and dance was the famous “Simply the Best” and all the audience went absolutely hysterical with everyone singing and dancing and cheering. So, if you ever get a chance to see this most amazing entertainer, don’t miss it. - Review by Graham Stephenson, Competition Winner, December 2025 Simply the Best Feathers will fly in Circa's exuberant take on Swan Lake. The world's most romantic ballet is re-imagined as a circus spectacular, full of Circa’s signature physicality and shot through with cheeky humour and a thoroughly contemporary energy. Be swept away by this tale of swans and hapless princes sparkling with quirky touches like the sequinned flipper-wearing duck army and a burlesque black swan. There are sumptuous aerials, jaw-dropping acrobatics and of course feathers! Touching, funny and utterly entertaining, Duck Pond is a tale of identity and finding your true self. Duck Pond is co-commissioned by QPAC and The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi, The Art House Wyong, Frankston Arts Centre, HOTA - Home of the Arts, Merrigong Theatre Company and Orange Civic Theatre. The great and the notso-good are gathered at Skirivour Castle Hotel, in the heart of the Highlands, for the wedding of the year – but they weren’t expecting Detective Sergeant Roberta Steel to crash their party. And get horribly, horribly drunk. The whole valley’s been cut off by a massive thunderstorm and the phone lines are down, so when the father-of-the-bride’s body is discovered – decoratively impaled on a stag’s head in the hotel lobby – it’s up to DS Steel to find out whodunit. Which isn’t easy when you’ve got a monstrous hangover and only a world-weary sergeant and a halfwit police constable for backup. With no witnesses and with every wedding guest a suspect, Roberta will need to use all of her little grey cells if she’s going to catch the killer and get out of there alive.
