7 One of the Gold Coast's most spectacular annual events is set to return this August, with the Pacific Airshow Gold Coast taking to the skies from Friday 14 to Sunday 16 August 2026. As the largest airshow event ever held in Australia, it promises three unforgettable days of breathtaking aerial displays over the iconic Surfers Paradise beachfront. Whether you're a lifelong aviation enthusiast, someone with an appreciation for history, or simply looking for an exciting day out with family and friends, the Pacific Airshow offers something for everyone. The action takes place daily from approximately 10.30am to 3.30pm, with the main Show Centre located on the beach opposite Cavill Avenue. Locals will once again have the opportunity to witness some of the world's most impressive military and civilian aircraft without leaving the Gold Coast. Previous airshows have featured incredible performances from the United States Air Force F-22 Raptors, Australia's powerful F/A-18 Super Hornet, the precision flying of the RAAF Roulettes, gravity-defying Jet Suit demonstrations, daring parachute teams landing directly onto the beach, and beautifully restored vintage aircraft including the legendary Spitfire. Of course, the excitement isn't limited to the skies. The Show Centre will also feature live entertainment, food trucks, children's activities, performer signing sessions and licensed areas where visitors can relax and enjoy the atmosphere between flying displays. With more than 250,000 spectators expected across the three days, the event brings a wonderful buzz to the Gold Coast while showcasing our city to visitors from around Australia and overseas. Even if you don't purchase a ticket, you'll still be able to enjoy many of the flying displays from beaches, parks and other public viewing areas along the coastline. If you do plan to attend the Show Centre, organisers strongly recommend travelling by public transport. With affordable fares available and limited parking around Surfers Paradise, it's by far the easiest way to enjoy the event without the stress of traffic.
