4 We’re so excited to share that Vision Michael Hare Optometrists is the first independent optical practice in Australia to offer Nuance Audio Hearing Glasses, a remarkable new way to see and hear the world around you. Blending clever sound technology with beautiful eyewear design, Nuance Audio is an invisible, open-ear hearing solution for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss. Instead of sitting in or behind the ear, the hearing support is built right into the frame: stylish, comfortable, and so discreet you’ll forget it’s even there. Each pair uses directional microphones to focus on the sounds and voices you actually want to hear, while openear speakers let you stay aware of your surroundings. Whether you’re catching up over coffee, enjoying dinner out, or in a busy workplace, Nuance Audio helps you stay connected to every moment, without background noise taking over. Through the Nuance Audio App, you can easily fine-tune your experience: adjust volume, reduce background noise, or choose between “Frontal” mode for face-to-face chats and “All-Around” mode for a wider listening range. It’s simple, intuitive, and designed for everyday life. With timeless frame styles, elegant colours, and the option to add your prescription lenses or Transitions® lightadaptive lenses, Nuance Audio looks just like a premium pair of glasses, only smarter! A sleek wireless charging pad and optional remote make them practical, modern, and easy to love. Nuance Audio isn’t just another device- it’s a breakthrough in sensory connection, empowering people to both see and hear the world around them more fully. Your world’s about to sound a whole lot better! Visit Vision Michael Hare Optometrists to try it on, we can’t wait to show you! A quick reflection on October, how good was it to see Brisbane Bronco’s both women’s and men’s teams take out the NRL Grand Final! In 2025, Queensland took our AFL men’s Grand Final, both NRL GF’s and the State of Origin, it’s always a good time to be a Queenslander, but this is just so much more special. Huge congrats to everyone involved. November sees the weather starting to heat up, and it’s very important that you take precautions for the heat and the damaging sun before you leave the house. Make plans that suit your tolerance in this weather, don’t be caught out in the heat and make sure you carry fluids with you at all times. November also brought us Remembrance Day on the 11th, a very important day in my calendar, Oxenford Neighbourhood Watch as I am a multi-generational military family that has served in several wars for this wonderful country. For those who recognised this day, I trust you spent it with friends and family and thank you for your service. We also have MoVember for those that use November to stop shaving and grow the mo whilst raising well needed funds for the appropriate charity. Good Luck to all who are doing that. November is also when the Buy / Sell scams start to really kick into gear. People will take advantage of you as you start to purchase Christmas gifts, book holidays etc. Buy/Sell scam come in many forms, but primarily its purchasing something that is in fact non-existent. Please do your research, if it seems too good to be true, it generally is. You often hear of people purchasing concert tickets off a reseller, or sporting event tickets then never receiving them. People that purchase a product off the internet, places like marketplace for eg, and then going to pick it up, and it’s the wrong address. These things happen constantly, and people are left out of pocket regularly. In most instances, there really isn’t anything you can do once scammed. Its buyer beware. If I can give any advice, it would be not to pay for anything you don’t have in your hand. Remember if someone sells you tickets online, they can still attend as they have the digital copy also, and its in their name, so they will get in before you do. Some people have no morals. Buy/Sell scams will be prevalent right through from Nov to Feb. Please take steps to protect yourself. Final Thoughts Christmas is coming up, please start to pick up a few extra grocery items in your shopping each week, so you aren’t left short of funds or food during the festive season.
