4 Mudgeeraba Show Time One of the Gold Coast’s Favourite Weekends is Back There’s something about the Mudgeeraba Agricultural Show that just feels like home. Maybe it’s the smell of hot chips and fairy floss in the air, the sound of kids laughing on the rides, or seeing the showgrounds come alive with colour and excitement. Whatever it is, the much-loved show returns on 27–28 June 2026, and for plenty of Gold Coast locals it’s one of those weekends that’s marked on the calendar every year. When people think of the Gold Coast, they usually picture beaches, surf and skyscrapers. But our region has always had another side too – a country side. Before all the growth and development, places like Mudgeeraba were at the heart of the area, and the annual show is still a great reminder of those local roots and traditions. And if you haven’t been for a while, there is a lot more happening than many people realise. The showgrounds will be packed with favourites including horse events, livestock judging, woodchopping, working dog demonstrations, arts and crafts displays, showbags, rides and plenty of food stalls. The pavilion is always worth a wander too, with local baking, photography, produce and handmade creations on display. Kids will love getting close to the animals, while the Norco Milking Station gives everyone a chance to try their hand at milking a cow and learn a little more about life on the land. There’s also live music, heritage displays and a few crowd favourites that have become part of the tradition over the years. As the sun goes down, the atmosphere steps up another level. The always-popular Horse vs Bike race and the Young Farmers Challenge bring plenty of laughs, before the night wraps up with fireworks lighting up the winter sky. Whether you go for the rides, the animals, the food or simply for a fun day outdoors, the Mudgeeraba Show still delivers that classic country-show feeling right here in our own backyard. Learning to drive a manual isn’t just about changing gears — ... it’s about building real control, confidence, and calm behind the wheel. At Spotto Driving School, our manual driving lessons are designed to meet you where you’re at, whether you’re starting from scratch, switching from auto, or coming back after a break. We focus on the fundamentals that make manual feel easy: smooth clutch control, clean take-offs, hill starts without panic, smart gear selection, and reading the road so you’re not overthinking every move. The best part? You’re not doing it alone. Our manual instructors — Kelly, Lee, and Allen — each bring a patient, supportive style that keeps lessons practical and pressure-free. We break skills into small wins and celebrate progress (no matter how tiny). And because every learner is different, we tailor each session to your pace. You’ll leave each lesson knowing exactly what you achieved and what you’re working on next. If you’ve been putting off manual because it feels “too hard” or “too stressful,” this is your sign: you can absolutely learn it — and we’ll make it feel doable from lesson one. see advert front cover
