Our division will, over the next year, benefit from around $250 million - a number that clearly demonstrates out City is prioritising investment in the Gold Coast’s far north. After listening to your feedback, this budget reflects the priorities you’ve told me matter most — and shows exactly how your ratepayer dollars are being put to work across our community. Here’s a snapshot of what we’re delivering this year: • Safer roads, intersections and footpaths — improving everyday travel and supporting active transport. • Upgraded parks and playgrounds — plus more trees to keep our suburbs green, fun and liveable. • Major infrastructure and rehabilitation projects — to support our long-term growth and wellbeing. • Supporting local events — that bring us together and celebrate our vibrant community spirit. • Improved facilities for local sports clubs — they keep our community active and connected. To give you the full picture, I’ve put together a short two-minute video highlighting the key projects and what you can expect in the year ahead (and beyond). Just scan the QR code on page 9 to watch.
