MENTION THIS AD FOR 10%DISCOUNT Rotary Club of Ormeau-Pimpama Santa returned to the streets of Ormeau and Pimpama on Sunday 17 December and just in time to remind everyone to be good, to be kind and be respectful to ALL. The annual Santa Run, held in conjunction with the Ormeau Rural Fire Service, weaved its way through the streets and sounded the alarms that Santa was on his way to the people. Several fire trucks all decorated for the occasion, escorted by the Police, Fire and Rescue and several Rotary vehicles all joined the escort … along with Santa’s helpers and his elves. The escort made seven stops along the journey at local parklands in Ormeau and Pimpama to the delight of the locals in this much anticipated event of the local community Christmas celebrations calendar. The oppressive hot weather certainly had an impact on numbers, but Santa always draws a crowd as he distributed lollies for the children at all the stops. A huge thank you to the Rotary Club of Ormeau-Pimpama and the Ormeau Rural Fire Service for organising this great event that heralds the arrival of Christmas each year and our sponsors Division One Councillor Mark Hammel, The Ormeau Village Shopping Centre and Zupp’s Property Group for kindly donating the advertising space on their electronic billboard at exit 45.
