I might seem a little shy when we first meet, but I promise, with some patience (and snacks), I’ll start to show you my sweet side. I would love to be pampered with gentle love and would prefer a quiet household where I can continue to grow my confidence every day. Other animals and young children would therefore not be the best fit for me, and instead I would love to have one or two special adult humans who will dote on my every need. If you’ve been wanting to give a sweet little kitty a second chance at forever, I’m your girl! Ruby Animal ID:144408 | Breed:Sharpei | Female 4Yrs 1M | Medium | Chocolate Ruby is a sweet girl with an independent streak who is now ready to find her forever family. She would be best suited to a home with Shar Pei experience, where her unique personality will be understood and appreciated. Ruby is looking for a calm and laid-back lifestyle with daily walks, plenty of love, and a cozy spot inside where she can be part of the family. Secure fencing is a must to keep her safe, and she’ll thrive as the only dog in her household. Because she can be unsure with too much hands-on attention, Ruby would do best in a home with older children (10+) who can respect her boundaries. She’s not suited to off-lead areas or dog parks, but with her people by her side, she’ll be perfectly content exploring the world on walks and enjoying quiet companionship at home. Kipo, Ruby and more wonderful pets are waiting to meet you at AWL Coombabah on Shelter Road, Coombabah. BLUE CARE GRIEF and LOSS - “My name is Harold and I have attended the Blue Care Grief & Loss program. My wife passed away and for over 12 months I felt alone in my grief, and even with family near by I was still feeling alone. I found attending the Grief and Loss program, allowed me to explore my feelings and meet others who are in similar situations. To be given the opportunity to review where I was and to see a way forward has helped me to gain a greater understanding of the grieving process. At this stage I feel able to explore a new destiny using the guidance and coping strategies provided in the eight week program.” Blue Care are commencing a FREE Grief & Loss Program in February 2026.
