Newsletters Produced by the Locals
for the Locals on the Gold Coast

Welcome to Your Local Newsletters

Just like the Gold Coast's iconic golden beaches and its green band of Hinterland, Your Local Newsletters has cemented its place as a local identity keeping pace with the Gold Coast's rapid growth.

Established in 1989 with a single newsletter for the Southport area and a distribution of 10,000, Your Local Newsletters now offers more than 73,000 monthly newsletters across the northern Gold Coast distributed to households, councillors’ offices and drop zones in selected council divisions, along with our popular Gold Coast Over Fifties magazine which covers the entire Gold Coast from Beenleigh down to Tweed Heads South.

Hundreds of locals provide the informative articles in the newsletters, many pertaining to that particular division. Included in these are the Council Updates, the Local Councillor, Members of State and Federal Parliament, along with many professions covering legal, financial, optical and medical to name but a few.

Your Local Newsletters prides itself on devoting much space to assist the community and the publications are widely used as a voice for community groups, service clubs, progress associations and many charities including The Animal Welfare League, Cancer Council, Unicef, and Red Cross. The newsletters were a key player in setting up Neighbourhood Watch in many suburbs and three years in a row received the Gold Coast Community Policing award presented by the mayor.

On a lighter side, we receive hundreds of entries for our competitions for prizes including dining vouchers, books, theatre tickets, etc. The competitions are sponsored by well known companies such as Mattel, Pan Macmillan and Local Theatre Companies. Our puzzles are ever popular and the founder's mother nonagenarian Mona Elliott composed the crosswords since the first edition in 1989.

Our newsletters certainly are produced by the locals for the locals.

Your Local Newsletters also provides printing services to print flyers, brochures, menus, business cards, invoice books, and more.

"Rivermount is a co-educational and non denominational college that was established at Yatala in 1992. We have 820 local students and we use The Local Newsletter to reach out to new families coming to our area and also to inform parents of existing students. The Local Newsletter gives us an excellent 'local' profile. It is excellent value for money offering a great service and reaching a specific market in our catchment area."
